You will need a valid passport to enter Canada.  Canada does not pay for hospital or medical services for visitors.  Make sure that you have health insurance to pay for your medical costs before you leave for Canada.

It is important that you follow all of the rules and regulations set out by Immigration Canada so that your visa is processed as quickly as possible.  Immigration regulations change without notice and we suggest that you contact the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate for specific details.  Click here for the nearest Canadian Visa office near you.

There are two types of visas:

  • Student Visa- If you study for 6 months or more, you must obtain a student visa.
  • Visitor Visa or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)- If you study from 1 week to 23 weeks, you need a Visitor Visa.

Visit the Canadian Citizenship and Immigration website to find out more details about obtaining a visa and other details relating to your particular situation.
