Language School
of Canada offers a variety of
after school activities both
in school and outside.
All of our in-school activities
are free! The excursions
in the city are either free
or cheap. We also organize
trips outside of the city for
camping and touring other Canadian
cities and tourist attractions.

Each
week, Language School
of Canada offers free
and useful bonus classes
for students! They
are at 3:30pm and are
often specialized classes
on a particular subject,
like listening, pronunciation,
or grammar. Or they could
be a fun way to pracise
conversation. They
might also be designed
to help you with a specific
skill, like resume writing.
Check out the calendar
and notice board for the
next bonus class - and
join us!

Book
clubs a very common among
Canadians, so why not
join us for our free after
school book club!
This exciting school club
is very popular with students.
The teacher
guides students through
the book by focusing on
vocabulary and comprehension
questions. Although
it is fun, you'll learn
a lot - especially everyday,
informal vocabulary.
Read a great book and
talk about it with other
students. You'll
have something to do after
school, and something
to talk about, too. |
 |
This is a great way to
practise your English
and meet a real Canadian.
Most guest speakers are
native speakers and they
are interested in meeting
foreign students to talk
with. The classes
are free and students
find them interesting,
informative and a great
way to interact with Canadians
that aren't your teachers.
Topics include things
like changing careers,
running your own business,
identity theft, favourite
places in Toronto, making
a TV show, and other types
of work the guest speakers
do. Come take advantage
or this wonderful opportunity.

From
May through October,
Language School of Canada
offers weekend summer

trips in Algonquin Provincial
Park. Each trip is guided
and all equipment and
food is included at
a very reasonable price.

|
SKIING
AND SNOWBOARDING |
| During
the winter months, when
there is snow, Language
School of Canada organizes
skiing and snowboarding
trips for students to join.
Less than two hours north
of Toronto, these full day
trips give students a great
chance to have a fun day
on the slopes. A one
hour lesson, equipment and
transportation are all provided.
Why not join other students
and lean to ski! |

RESTAURANT
EXCURSIONS |
 |
Each month,
we have a school trip
to a different restaurant
in an interesting neighbourhood. Students
can try a wide variety
of food from different
countries and experience
the many authentic cultures
that make up Toronto.
Try Greek food in Greektown,
Italian food in Little
Italy, Chinese buns
in Chinatown, African
food and others.
More chance to talk
with your teacher and
interesting food at
good prices!

LOCAL
NEIGHBOURHOODS |
We
want to show our students
local areas and hang-outs
that Torontians know
and love. For
some of our after school
activities, we take
students to a different
area or place that is
not on the typical tourist
map. These local
tours include cool coffee
shops, hidden squares
and places you probably
wouldn't discover on
your own. Come
explore with us!

LOCAL
EVENTS |
 |
Toronto
has been called a city
of festivals.
Most weekends, especially
in the summer, there
is some sort of culural
or musical festival.
When possible, Language
School of Canada takes
students on after school
activities to take in
these events and festivals.
A summer trip to play
beach volleyball and
see the Jazz festival
is a popular school
excursion. The
Royal Winter Fair, the
Luminato Festival and
Gay Pride Parade are
other popular trips.
You're sure to see something
different!
