Registration Questions
How do I register?
The easiest way to register is to fill out our application form on our web page and submit it. Or you can print out the application form and fax it to us at +1-416-964-0226 or mail it to us. After we receive your application, we will process it and send you an acceptance letter by fax and mail.

When can I join Language School of Canada?
You can join our classes on any Monday during the summer and every other Monday in the fall and spring.

Do I have to take a test on the first day?
Yes! We will give you a written and oral test on the first day so that we can place you in the correct level. The test will cover, reading, grammar, vocabulary and listening. It will take you no more that 60 minutes to complete the test.

How do I pay the fees?
You can pay by bank transfer, credit card, debit card, cheque or money order. Payment by credit card is the easiest and quickest method to secure a place at our school.

How much is the registration fee?
The registration fee at our school is $100.00.

Do I have to pay the entire fees before my first day?
Language School of Canada will issue you a Letter of Acceptance and a receipt when you register. A deposit must be paid at the time of registration A deposit of 2 months for a 6 month course, and a deposit of 4 months for a 12 month course is due at the time of registration.

Visa Questions
How do I get a visa to come to Canada?
It is important that you follow all of the rules and regulations set out by Immigration Canada so that your visa is processed as quickly as possible.  Immigration regulations change without notice and we suggest that you contact the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate for specific details.

What do I need before coming to Canada?
You will need a valid passport and health insurance before you leave for Canada.

What type of visa do I need?
There are two types of visas:
1. Student Visa- If you study for 6 months or more, you must obtain a student visa.
2. Visitor Visa or Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)- If you study from 1 week to 23 weeks, you need a Visitor Visa.

Can I get a refund if I do not get my visa?
Yes! All fees will be refunded.

Questions about Classes

How many people are in one class?

There is an average of 5 to 8 students in one class. There is a maximum of 10 students per class.

How do you know my English level?
On your first day, we give you a Placement Test so that you a put in the right class where all students are at the same level.

Can I change my classes after I receive my schedule?
Yes! You can change your classes with no problem within the first week of each month. All of our programs are at the same price so you do not have to worry about paying extra.

Can I try classes to see if I want to change?
Yes, you can! You can try a class at any time to see what it is like. However, you can only transfer into that class during the first week of any given month.

Can I study for a minimum of one or two weeks?
Yes, you can study for a minimum of one week.

Do you have any activities after school
Yes! We have many activities after school and during the weekends. Check out the Activities section for further information.

Do you offer trips outside of Toronto?
Yes! We offer many trips to locations outside of Toronto such as Algonquin Park, Canada's Wonderland, etc.
